Overview

For AR teams with sufficient bandwidth and resources, licensing ASG’s Interactive Analyst Tiering Workbook (ITW) ensures that the important task of identifying and tiering YOUR analysts is focused on your program’s objectives and is executed using a rigorous, proven and consistent methodology. The ITW provides an interactive tool for discretely quantifying the level of influence each analyst has on purchase decisions (buyer impact) and defining/identifying market trends (market impact). Users follow four simple steps:
  • Make a copy of the model for each market area (e.g., Servers, Storage, Services, etc.)
  • Populate the model with analysts who focus on the identified market
  • Rate each analyst on your predetermined and specific criteria (click some radio buttons)
  • Review and fine tune the results

Each model is pre-loaded by ASG with assessment factors custom to your situation and whether you intend to rate industry analysts, academics, journalists, or other key market influencers. Examples of common assessment factors include:

Weighting factors can be independently assigned to each factor. The number of analysts included in up to three user-defined tiers can be adjusted based on YOUR program’s available resources. Further, the ITW provides tier-assignment override capability and the ability to examine analyst sub-groups based on geography, sub-markets (e.g., ERP or CRM within Enterprise Applications), or other secondary criterion.
